Keith Ray

Partner

Keith is a founding partner and chairman of Sunrise. He is also the owner of Realvest Management Inc., a company involved with real estate ownership, property management and finance. Prior to that, Keith was a Partner at KPMG Canada in the Real Estate group’s Audit practice for 27 years. Keith sits on the Board of Directors for three publicly traded real estate investment and finance companies. Keith has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and is a CPA, CA.

Eric Ray

Partner

Eric is a founding partner of Sunrise. Prior, Eric was an Investment Manager at Lincoln Avenue Communities, one of the nation’s fastest-growing developers of Affordable Housing. Eric’s career started in investment banking with RBC before transitioning to real estate private equity at Northbridge Capital. Eric holds an MBA from The Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, and a BBA from The George Washington University School of Business.

Sam Caspert

Partner

Sam joined Sunrise as a partner in the summer of 2023. Prior to Sunrise, Sam was a Principal at Granite Park Capital, a real estate company specializing in the acquisition and operation of Affordable Housing. Prior to this, Sam worked in the Investments department for CIM Group (~$35 billion in AUM), where he was involved in the acquisition, disposition and development of over $300M in real estate. Sam has a BS in Finance from University of Maryland, College Park, Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Jon Tokiwa

Development Associate

Jon joined Sunrise as an Analyst in September 2021 . During his tenure at Sunrise, Jon has supported the acquisition of over $55 million of Affordable communities. Before joining Sunrise, Jon was an Analyst at Takol Real Estate focused on industrial real estate acquisitions and development. Jon started his career as a corporate real estate advisor. He holds an Honors Business Administration (HBA) degree from the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.
